*A message from Truro City SC Chair on the Fast Five Gala*

Thought yesterday was marvellous. Really well organised. Timing equipment, heats and over the top starts all professionally executed.
Constant babble of excitement from the competitors and spectators - lovely to hear.
A big thank you to everyone who helped - Dan and all the officials, all the coaches, time keepers, Anna announcing and poolside helpers and a special thank you to Val and Celia for churning out those times and results and Greg for getting the timing equipment working perfectly.
Events like this bring the club together and really show the team spirit.
Well Done Truro City.

*Age Group Regionals 2015*
Truro City youngsters hold their own at the annual Southwest Age Group Regional Swimming Championships.
Team Truro were particularly well represented at this year’s regional Age Group Championships held over long course during two busy weekends of competition in May. Team Truro travelled to the Hengrove Pool in Bristol for the first weekend of competing, returning a fortnight later to test themselves at Millfield School.

After a highly successful Junior Inter Club and Cornwall County Championships; where Truro came out on top in both earlier in the year, and through continued hard work, commitment and effort from these young members an amazing 19 swimmers from the Junior Performance/Intermediate squads made the tough qualification by obtaining regional qualifying times and/or consideration times........

22nd May 2015
Members please read and digest the following important information regarding the changes to our club championships…….
The committee has decided to change the format of our annual club championships…Why?
• Current format has been in place for a number of years and it is time for an update.
• Current format limits our members on how many races they can swim and does not cover all the distances in all events.
• Club ethos is for all swimmers across the age groups to enjoy swimming, have fun and test themselves against their peers in
the comfort of their own pool, club environment and in a family atmosphere.
• Annual county championships have moved left and we need to adapt by providing our members opportunities to compete and gain QT’s in the qualifying window.
