Welcome to the Truro City Swimming Club.
Situated in Cornwall the most beautiful and south western county in the UK.
Truro City Swimming Club founded before 1928 and revitalised in 1973 remains the premier swimming club in the County. Using a modern pool facility at Truro Leisure Centre, with 6 X 25m lanes and electronic timing it has been the most competitively successful club in Cornwall for the past 17 years.
In Emily Dart (Bio) the clubs Head Coach, the club is fortunate to have one of the very few Level 4 qualified coaches in the country, supported by her superb team of coaches (team), the club continues to grow and go from strength to strength. It has a very successful racing squad placed in the top 16 of South West England and Wales clubs and follow a progressive training programme which continues to delivery success. The club has had representation at Junior, Senior and National Level and also enjoys close links with the local Surf Lifesaving Clubs, boasting some of the top regional and national surf life savers as members; a number who have represented Great Britain.
The Swim club has seen a number of great success, not only continually developing swimmers to compete at County and South West Regional level, but in 2007 (4 Swimmers), 2008 (4 swimmers), 2009 (1 swimmer), 2010 (3 swimmers), 2013 (2 swimmers) and 2014 (2 swimmers) were competing at ASA National level at Sheffield in July & August.

The club has kindly received some old snaps from back in the day.
These pictures where taken at Malpas in 1939; where the club used to train in the open water prior to a swimming pool being built in the city. Some of the youngsters in the front row could still be alive and might be parents of previous club members and/or grandparents of some current members?

*Membership Renewal 2014/15 Season*
Dear Members, please find below via link the membership renewal pack for the 2014/15 season.
In order to safeguard your sessions with Truro City please ensure that completed membership forms are returned to either Justine Trebilcock or Val Rice on or before Wednesday 3rd September.
Justine and the Committee will be available in The Classroom (Ground Floor) at Truro Leisure Centre on Wednesday 3rd September between 18:00 -
We have a large waiting list of swimmers wishing to join us, it is therefore important that you return your membership packs on or before 3rd September as failure to do so may result in you not being able to swim and your place being offered to swimmers on the waiting list.
