Ben Medals at the British Open Swimming Championships

Truro swimmer Ben Procter proved once again that he is one of Britain's top  S14 category  disability swimmer 's. Ben who has been training hard was rewarded with medals in this years British Open Championships.

This year saw the Championships normally held at Ponds Forge Sheffield, move to the Aquatic Centre at Manchester. Ben who broke the S14 Category 200m Freestyle British record in 2010 had to settle for a Silver medal after swimming a strong race in the multidisability 200m Freestyle event and a Bronze in the 100m Backstroke.

Ben's selection successes were also again rewarded as he has now qualified to compete in the IPC European Championships in July to be held in Berlin, Germany, been selected to compete in the 200m Freestyle for Great Britain in the Paralympic World Cup in Mayand for the Disability World Class Podium preperation for the Paralympic Trials in 2012.
