The named Squads and levels of membership stated below are for convenience, do not restrict your options to swim.
FITNESS MEMBERSHIP (1 session per week)
This category includes width and length swimmers and who may not with to swim competitively, or have other conflicting weekly commitments. Usual training day is a Wednesday.
*** JUNIOR Squad *** (2 sessions per week)
This category is for all swimmers wishing to progress by improving their technique, and includes width, length swimmers, options of Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We shall again be staging events for the junior and novice racers, as an introduction to competitive swimming against swimmers from other clubs such as the Diddy Meet in May.
*** INTER Squad *** (3 sessions per week)
These members train 3 times a week and are frequently selected for inter-
*** SENIOR Squad *** (4 sessions per week)
These swimmers swim 4 times a week and are frequently swimming in regional and national competitions both individually and as a team representing the Club at the highest level. Your usual sessions are on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sundays. Mike has organised trips to the 50m Millfield School pool, for long course training, and more National and International Open Meets such as Edinburgh and Jersey are planned.
# LAND TRAINING # (for those 3 and 4 session swimmers) included in your fees
All Senior and Inter squad swimmers are expected to participate in the Land training program, which includes Strength, Agility, Quickness routines (SAQ's) as well as team sport activities on Fridays.
